Its not what you are hearing from your doctor and nutritional companies! But they are not helping you.

Think about this. The body is made of tubes of all kinds. When they get clogged, just like a pipe, they get clogged with calcium deposits. It gets in the blood vessels, it gets in the joints.

We’ve been told by the dairy industry that calcium is needed for bones. That’s true that the bones are made of calcium. What isn’t true is that eating dairy products puts calcium in the bones. In fact, it’s just the opposite.

The best source of calcium, and the body does need some, is……bok choy. The vegetable. The Chinese love it.

Organic fruits and vegetables are the best place to get organic vegetables and minerals. Period.

The best source of enzymes is raw, uncooked food. One study showed a group of diabetics on a 100 percent raw food diet, had no symptoms of diabetes after only one month! It appears as if these people had digestive difficulties and needed more enzymes! If they returned to their usual diet, eating cooked and starchy foods, all the diabetic symptoms returned. This same situation can take place with other symptomatic dis-ease processes which can be relieved by lifestyle changes and diet. Habits are sometimes hard to break, but the benefits are many.

There are many enzymes which have not been identified yet, but which are required for good health. When we eat organic raw food, the enzymes naturally in the food are bioavailable. These are the best sources of organic vitamins and minerals. Therefore, as Hippocrates the father of Medicine said, “Let food be your medicine.”

When there aren’t enough digestive enzymes, the body forces its metabolic enzymes to digest food. They are then unavailable for their vital duties of repair, maintenance and infection fighting.

These other types of enzymes, the “metabolic” or “systemic enzymes,” are made by glands. They travel directly through the bloodstream initiating chemical reactions inside the cells, orchestrating life’s processes in every organ, gland, tissue and cell.

“Proteolytic” (protein digesting) “systemic enzymes” have been successful in alleviating a wide variety of conditions, such as easing the pain of arthritis and sports injuries. They are used to control inflammation and swelling, to bring about faster recovery after surgery, and to maintain good heart health by breaking down fats and cholesterol.

Enzymes are energized protein molecules found in all living animal and plant cells that are essential for digesting food, repairing tissue, and creating virtually all of the chemical reactions in the body.

Human bodies produce only a limited number of enzymes during our lifetime, decreasing with age. An increasing deficiency often leads to poor digestion and blocked absorption of the vitamins, minerals, and other nutrients needed for good health. Life requires them!

Digestive enzymes are made in the pancreas and released into the intestines to break down food and turn it into energy. The digestive tract deposits large quantities of toxic material from undigested food into the blood if there are not enough enzymes. Undigested matter is then carried throughout the body, accumulating over time, contributing to many chronic health problems and conditions. The body has to use up a lot of energy to digest enzyme deficient foods, which can lead to fatigue.

Food enzymes are obtained from eating raw foods such as fruits and vegetables, so often recommended by health professionals. Sprouts are particularly high in natural food enzymes.

When food is cooked or processed, enzymes are depleted. Lowering the temperature considerably, or raising it above 120 degrees Fahrenheit slows the enzyme reaction. A high degree of heat destroys enzyme action. Supplementing with digestive enzymes when eating these foods is important, especially with increasing age. Once the food is cooked, often at 350 degrees Fahrenheit, the enzymes are no longer available. Therefore, a key part of good nutrition is to eat raw, vividly colored foods, and to take enzyme supplements when eating cooked or processed foods.

Enzymes from raw food, or supplements, act to reduce the burden on the body’s natural healing powers, allowing it to perform its natural self-curing function. There are over 20,000 enzymes in the human body; however, only about 1,000 enzymes have been identified. While supplementation can help with cooked food, the supplements do not contain all the enzymes which are available in uncooked food. Eating raw food is essential.

A substantial amount of the diet, preferably 80% or more, needs to be raw foods in the form of fruits, raw salads and sprouts. For some people, they have to build up to this slowly. Without sufficient raw materials from raw foods, the body may tire and produce fewer enzymes year after year. This may lead to wearing out of body processes and consequently looking “worn-out!” Therefore, it is essential to get enzymes from uncooked food.

Digestive Enzyme Supplements can either be taken with food or on an empty stomach. When enzyme supplements are taken on an empty stomach, 45 minutes to one hour before meals, they stimulate the immune system to engulf and remove waste material and are helpful in healing a variety of conditions.

Here is a source for organic high quality digestive enzymes.

“Magnesium is a very important essential macromineral …involved in several hundred enzymatic reactions, many of which contribute to production of energy and cardiovascular function.” …

“Decreases in magnesium intake…[are] prevalent in our American diet with additions of supplemental vitamin D and calcium…and refined or processed carbohydrate foods… Drinking soft water decreases magnesium intake, while diuretic drugs cause magnesium loss, as do alcohol, caffeine, and sugar….”

“Decreased blood and tissue levels of magnesium have been shown to be related to high blood pressure, kidney stones, heart disease and, particularly, heart attacks due to coronary artery spasm (magnesium helps relax and dilate coronary arteries)….a decreased concentration of magnesium is found in the heart and blood of heart attack victims…”…”Magnesium’s role in alleviating premenstrual syndrome (PMS) has made big news as well.”

“Magnesium is the “iron” of the plant world-as iron is to hemoglobin, magnesium is to chlorophyll, the “blood” pigment of plants. The central atom of the chlorophyll structure is magnesium….”

…” Magnesium is present in significant amounts in the heart Most of it, like potassium, is inside the cells.” …….It is possible that some of the hangover symptoms related to alcohol are in part due to magnesium depletion. Taking this mineral with some thiamine (B1) and drinking extra water can help prevent hangover symptoms.”
